Why did The Loop not pick up my task file?
Check four things in order: the file is in docs/tasks/ of a watched repo, the repo is listed in loop.config.json, the extension is .md, and the status is one the loop picks up.
The loop only reads docs/tasks/ inside a repo it was told to watch. Subfolders, docs/task/ and a root-level tasks/ folder are invisible to it.
~/.claude/loop.config.json holds a flat list of absolute repo paths. A repo you started after install day is the most common miss.
context-loop picks up status: inbox or a file with no frontmatter at all. next-loop only picks up status: ready.
